How ground-source works

Steady ground temperature, all year

A few feet below the surface, the ground stays at a steady temperature year-round, warmer than the winter air above it and cooler than the summer air. A geothermal system circulates fluid through a buried loop field to pull heat out of the ground in winter and reject heat back into it in summer.

Because it is moving heat rather than burning fuel, the same system heats the home in winter, cools it in summer, and can produce a large share of domestic hot water. There is no outdoor condenser, so the unit runs quietly indoors with nothing to freeze, rattle, or degrade outside.

We design horizontal loops where property allows and vertical drilled loops where lot size or soil calls for it, sized to your real heating load rather than a generic package.
