How we work

From first call to long-term comfort

The same team that evaluates your home is the team that designs, installs, and services it. One accountable crew, end to end.

01 Evaluate A free on-site or virtual look at your home, your current system, and your goals. We tell you honestly what makes sense.
02 Design We size the system to your real heating load, map every rebate it qualifies for, and hand you the numbers before any work starts.
03 Install Licensed crews install to code, pull the permits, and complete the rebate paperwork so the incentive reaches you without the chase.
04 Service Annual maintenance and 24-hour emergency support, year after year, from the same team that did the install.
The Fern Gully flagship

Geothermal that pays for itself

A geothermal heat pump pulls heat from the ground beneath your property, delivering about five units of energy for every one unit of electricity it draws. That is roughly 500% efficiency, and most homeowners cut their heating, cooling, and hot-water costs by around 70%.

A geothermal heat pump runs at roughly 500% efficiency, moving about five units of heat for every one unit of electricity, with no combustion, no on-site emissions, and an indoor unit that runs quietly year-round.

Most homeowners cut heating, cooling, and hot-water costs by around 70%.

With current provincial rebates and interest-free financing, the payback on a system often lands inside three to five years for the right property. We size the loop, run the savings math, and handle the paperwork.

A new chapter

Thirty years of Fern Gully,
now part of a wider family.

In 2025, Fern Gully Heating & Cooling joined the Jayden's Mechanical family. Here is what that means for the customers who have trusted John DeBok for over thirty years.

For you, almost nothing changes day to day. The Fern Gully name stays. The Bothwell home base stays. The licensed crews who know Chatham-Kent stay. What is new is the backing: a larger Southwestern Ontario group means more crew for peak-season and emergency calls, access to more equipment brands, and the depth to take on anything from a single repair to a full geothermal retrofit.

The same home base. The same standard. More depth behind it.

If you have called us before, your experience carries on unchanged. If you are new to Fern Gully, you get a thirty-year local contractor with the reach of a larger group.
